The educational part

 

Our aim is to create awareness for different water qualities, for hygiene, sanitation, water storage and spring protection. We also wish to demonstrate the dangers of consuming polluted water and the specific diseases associated with water contamination.
In order to illustrate these issues we will bring microscopes to analyse the water with the locals of the village. We will also use theatre and the arts to demonstrate these issues with small plays, games, pictures.

Furthermore, pamphlets with simple and understandable drawings and texts will show how to transport and store water cleanly and how to protect the springs.
A very important aspect of this project will be the cooperation with the locals which means that we will involve them in the project from the beginning; hopefully they will help us protect the springs and build the wells, so that they will learn the techniques to carry on with the project in the future.
On our part we will compile an all-inclusive documentation of the whole project, including the technical elements; this ‘portfolio’ will be provided to Bulungula as well as to the neighbouring villages.
